This wonderful library was my childhood hangout. I spent many happy hours here and developed a lifelong love of reading. A few years ago, I returned to college to earn my master’s degree in library and information science and am now honored to be the executive director of this fabulous Carnegie-era library! It still has the great stained glass, Prairie style woodwork, grand arches, and the elegant columns out front. Andrew Carnegie’s reproduction portrait still hangs in the historic fiction section. We have added on to the building, but the 1912 portion remains nearly the same.
