
Blue Island Public Library is embarking on a facilities assessment and strategic plan and will apply the funds from the Carnegie Libraries 250 gift to envisioning a modern facility that serves the educational and cultural needs of the Blue Island community now and for the decades to come.
Gathering the board and library staff to discuss community feedback regarding how the library could remodel and reorganize was really inspiring. Libraries are evolving to meet changing needs, and Blue Island Public Library is thrilled to be able to put this gift to use in planning for our future.
