I love our Carnegie Library here in Cañon City, Colorado. Thirty-five years ago, I brought my children to this library, and now I bring my grandchildren here. I have also secured a position working here as the library director. I could not be more excited for the 250th celebration of the United States and the wonderful gift that the Carnegie Corporation of New York is bestowing upon our library. Our library was built in 1902. In 2012–2015, we underwent a restoration and renovation to revitalize our sad building, and we are now enjoying the original beauty once again. Happy birthday, America!
