Being a reading specialist teacher, I have tried to instill a love of reading in my children from the very beginning. The summer reading programs at Cape Girardeau Public Library have played a large part in their development as readers. As my mother has played a huge part in my own love of reading, she too loves to read. And as such, she accompanies us to the library most of the time.
I snapped this picture of my children in the “teen area” of the library because all four children had found books they loved and were providing my mom and me with a very, very rare moment of summer peace. We love reading, and we love the library.
