I truly believe the perfect use of this wonderful gift, which honors the history of Carnegie Libraries and the role they have played in communities nationwide for more than a century, is a deposit into our ever-growing building fund. We are actively searching for our forever home, since we lease rather than own the facility where we are located now. Gifts, like this unexpected and wonderful donation, will help make our dreams of a new library come true.
“To have the support and recognition of such a legendary institution means the world to us and provides the resources we need to support community programs, and more,” said Kevin A. Mahmalji, vice president of the John C. Fremont Library District board of trustees.
