We built a brand-new children’s program area to use for our summer reading program events, weekly story time sessions, and other events throughout the year. The new program area is called the Carnegie America 250 Program Area.
We held our ribbon-cutting celebration for our new Carnegie America 250 Program Area on April 22, 2026, during our town’s annual Dogwood Festival. This week, we have already had over 150 local students play in the area during their field trip to the library. We also shared some history of our Carnegie Library with them while they were here.
