The Carnegie Library in Woodbine is part of my life. I’ve been the director here for almost five years, was the children’s librarian for 15 years, and was a library sub for two years. My children grew up in this library, so it is part of my family also. This was the first Carnegie Library built in our county, and our county holds the most Carnegie Libraries in the state of Iowa. Our Carnegie Library is an integral part of our community, a meeting place for many people, a source of information, or just a spot to have a little peace. It’s loved by many and revered by all.
