The Flora-Monroe Township library has been a staple of Flora, Indiana, since its construction in 1918. It even has its own painting that hangs in the first floor from local artist Terry Lacey, which commemorates the people who have invested in the success of the town and the library. Andrew Carnegie is included in this painting. We are also the location of the town’s time capsule. The most recent one was opened in 2022, and the new one will be opened in 2072. The Flora Library serves as a meeting place with numerous well-attended programs each week, open spaces for community use, and an engaged and enthusiastic staff.
